Mizuno Sky Medal x Patta

Patta and Mizuno have a long history of joint projects and recently released their third sneaker collaboration – the Sky Medal in ivory/red/white.

Mizuno is a Japanese brand with a long history, probably best known for their athletic products: running shoes, sportswear etc., while Patta is a Dutch black-owned streetwear brand established in 2004 in Amsterdam putting their own twist on fashion trends ever since.

The release definitely had its’ fans, as it disappeared from Patta’s website within hours.

The silhouette of the shoes is giving us very much 90’s retro vibes, that have come back to popularity lately. The upper is made of high-quality leather in a nice mix of colors, inspired by Patta’s SS22 clothing collection.

While I have never owned a pair of Mizunos, these definitely look like something I would love to try out. A new silhouette and unusual colorway – something you don’t see very often on the streets.

As a cherry on top, all in-store purchases included a free limited-edition Patta x Mizuno balaclava – a nice little treat for collectors!

Some leftover sizes are still available at online stores globally, but rest assured, they will soon sell out. It’s a great opportunity for real fans to get their hands on a pair they really want. Good job Patta and Mizuno!
