Weekly Roundup 4.25

Another week down and another week of some good cops and a few unfortunate L’s. The release calendar has been a little on the quantity side but the quality has been unmatched. Some unfortunate news also stunned the sneaker world this past week with the news of Nike and Vanessa Bryant not agreeing to a contract extension or a lifetime agreement. So, to all my Kobe fans and Kobe heads, stock up while you can because the future is uncertain and things will get a little crazy going forward.

With so many reschedules and shipments delayed, it has been hard to keep up. Jordan Brand and Aleali May latest collab was slated to hit retailer last Thursday and we have seen a few pick ups of these in recent days, but the official release has been moved to Monday morning. This amazing, vibrant colorway represents May’s high school years where she was a member of the drill team. Varsity jacket themed details include a cream wings logo and a green stain collar that accent the nice green and blue upper. May’s signature accents each pair and makes these another must from the famed designer. After a slight halt, the A Ma Maniere x Jordan Retro 3 “Raised by Women” finally hit and it gave the ladies a clean retro that looks amazing in hand. The pair is inspired by the 3 being the first Air Jordan purchased by AMM owner James Whitner’s mother.

Nike gave us a SNKRS drawing for the Nike SB Dunk High Pro “Hawaii” this past week and the results were not what we hoped for but this shoe is as clean as they come. The 4/20 launch is a nod to a certain culture known as Maui Wowie. Dressed in traditional Hawaiian floral pattern with cream hemp panels, this sneaker continues a tradition of clean and must have SB sneakers released on this holiday.

Adidas give us another crazy 4/20 release this past week, and it was one that brought back a lot of childhood memories. The South Park x Adidas Campus 80s “Towelie” hit the scene and is inspired by a fan favorite from the long running show, South Park. The Campus 80 resembles Towelie with a purple, plush upper and white accents. The pair included stash pockets and also some of the character famous catchphrases from the show. The best detail, by far, is the eyes on each tongue that turn red after being exposed to UV light.

Other notable releases from the past week were the Eric Emanuel x Adidas Forum High “McDonald’s All-American Game”, Cardi B x Reebok “Summertime Collection”, Nike Air Griffey “42”, and the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 “Bright Blue”. Again, the quantity hasn’t been crazy but the quality is top tier over the past few weeks. Stay tuned for release updates and schedule changes and as always, good hunting and continue to rise. grind and buy sneakers.
