Weekly Roundup 5.9

We have hit May running so first and foremost, we would like to say Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers, grandmothers, and motherly figures in our lives that have guided us and helped us along our journeys. This week was quite heavy on the release calendar. A lot of OG flavor hit the scene with a few new collabs that are must-haves.

Jordan Brand has an extremely busy week with multiple releases hitting different retailers and SNKRS. The Air Jordan 1 “Rust Shadow” features a clean black upper with a light army suede and copper finished overlays. Also, we got a chance to grab two different colorways in the Air Jordan 11 Low: “Bright Citrus” and “Legend Blue”. The “Bright Citrus” colorway is an exclusive for the ladies and returns for the first time since its’ 2001 release. The simplistic colorway comes in an all-white upper composed of white mesh and the 11’s signature patent leather overlays. Bright orange hits the tongue and outsole and gives this sneaker some nice pop. The “Legend Blue” color scheme is inspired by the “Columbia” 11 worn by Jordan in the 1995 All-Star Game. This sneaker features a mostly white upper with a black lining and legend blue accents.

Nike is well known for their amazing collaborations with different brands and artists, so this week, we got a chance to grab two of these. Concepts and Kyrie Irving continue their longstanding partnership with the “Horus” Kyrie 7. These drop exclusively at the Concept boutique and the entire store was redone for this crazy release. Like the past projects, this sneaker is heavy in Egyptian themes and symbols. This sneaker is inspired by the glazed ceramic of Ancient Egypt and this is where the bright orange, blue, and gold colorway comes from. The next collab hitting retailers this week comes to us in a Nike SB. The skateboard brand Stingwater and Nike Dunk SB come together to give is the Stingwater x Nike SB Dunk Low “Magic Mushroom”. Inspired by the magic mushrooms and their mythical properties, the pair is laced in a red leather with a white safari print overlay made to mimic the mushroom spotted tops. Additional details include the shops’ branding on the side panel, a stash pocket, and a clear icy sole.

Other notables releases include the Atmos x Nike Air Lebron 18 “Viotech”; Supreme x Nike Air Max 97; Nike Overbreak “Khaki”; New Balance 550; Adidas Yeezy 500 “Enflame”; and the Air Jordan 7 “Flint”. With this being a heavy week, certain decisions had to be made, but some of these are still available via reseller apps and the prices are as bad as you would think. Keep up the good hunt and continue to always rise, grind and buy sneakers. And don’t forget, the WNBA season begins on Friday, May 14th!
