Nike Dunk Low ‘Veneer’

Originally a part of the Japan-exclusive ‘Ugly Ducklings’ pack in 2001, the Dunk Low Veneer is finally making a return.

I’m pretty sure all the dunk-heads will get as excited as me because Nike has already served us Plum, and now they’re releasing Veneer, while Ceramic is on the way too. There couldn’t be a better moment because Dunk hype is currently peaking.

The Ugly Ducklings pack was one of the important moments in Dunk history. Not only did these shoes feature a fully suede upper, but also the unusual color blocking was something completely new, which sparked people’s interest even more. Veneers feature a brown/purple/green mix, which is also giving me a bit of a Hulk vibe. They definitely feel like a perfect pair for fall.

I managed to grab Plums before the prices soared and will definitely be going for the Veneers and Ceramics to complete the pack. I’m not gonna lie – I simply love them. If you’re eyeing the Veneers, I’d suggest staying true to your size or buying them 0.5 size bigger – both work fine for me. Make sure to tag @MadeForTheW on Instagram if you grab a pair!
