Weekly Roundup 3.14

March is in full swing and you can see the pollen in the air! March Madness is back, Spring Forward is upon us, and March showers are around the corner. The release calendar is still going strong and the Nike Dunk seems to be the shoe that keeps on giving. With addition to that, Nike gives us more classics and introduces the future in basketball kicks.

This week, Nike is all over the release calendar. The Nike Dunk High “Syracuse” hit select retailers and the SNKRS app along with a clean black and white Dunk low. The Nike Dunk has been around for years and with March Madness knocking at out doorstep, these are the perfect shoe to break out in the nice weather. Following the release of these, a Women’s exclusive “Orange Pearl” hit shelves and is perfect for the Easter weekend coming with the iconic color-blocking color scheme of white and the subtle “Orange Pearl”.

Nike has always been at the forefront of the basketball scene. This week, we got a chance to grab Nike’s brand new sustainable basketball sneaker, the Cosmic Unity. Released in smaller quantities earlier this year, we get a wider release this week. The “Green Glow” colorway was listed on the SNKRS app this week and the “Amalgam” colorway is slated to arrive at select Footlocker locations. The latest pair to get the Protro treatment is the Kobe 6 “All Star” originally released back in 2011. Kobe’s performance in this All-Star game was insane and he was awarded the MVP award, now named The Kobe Bryant Award. Many players have been seen in this sneaker as of late and the Kobe line is still going strong with multiple other Protros coming this year.

Other notable releases this week are: the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 “Cream”; Nike Air Max 90 “St. Patrick’s Day”; Nike Presto “Crimson Siren Red”; and the Nike Popcorn Pack that include a popcorn inspired Nike Air Force 1 and Nike Blazer Mid. Spring is in the air (my eyes getting a little puffy are telling me this fact) so it is time to switch gears from the boots and high tops to the shorts and low tops. Time for the perfect band tee, short shorts, and chilling at the family BBQ enjoying the nice weather. As always Good Hunting and remember, rise, grind, and buy sneakers.
