Fall is here! Now is the perfect season to revamp your closet and get ready for some cooler weather and some crazy sneaker releases. Nothing like a great flannel, the perfect jeans, and a crazy pair of sneakers.
Nike has been paying homage to Kobe since Mamba Week and now, some of the PEs are hitting the shelves. PJ Tucker has been the unanimous Sneaker King for years and this weekend, we got a chance to grab one of the many Kobe PEs. This PE was originally worn by PJ in the NBA bubble, and they come with a grey leopard upper, red heel, blue toe box, and neon green laces. Definitely a must-have for every Kobe fan.
Kyrie’s return to action has been long overdue, but in the meantime, he has been killing the sneaker releases. The Nike Kyrie “Sashiko Pack” celebrates the Japanese Sashiko stitching method. The cream Kybrid 2 and a tan Kyrie Low 3 are accented with denim panels with amazing Sashiko detailing.
Kyrie’s new teammate, Kevin Durant, also sat the year out, but his KD 13 has been heavily represented in the bubble and wubble. The next colorway to hit the web is the “Easy Money Sniper” and these are coming straight out of ‘60s. This psychedelic colorway comes with multicolored floral patterns, rainbow patterns on the tongue as well as the ankle collar, and hippie patterns all over, such as peace signs and smiley faces.
Nike Running is giving us a couple of bangers this weekend as well. The Denham x Nike pack is one that has been highly anticipated and didn’t sit long. The Amsterdam-based denim brand, Denham dropped its’ two Nike Air Max collaborations on Friday and featured a Nike Air Max 90 “Infrared” and an Air Max 95 “Neon” – reimagined with premium denim panels in just about every wash. Denham signature logo is on each insole and makes these something special for your fall closet.
The Presto is one of my personal favorites and Nike continues this week with the country inspired colorways. This week, we get the “Nigeria” colorway, coming dressed in an all green upper made to mimic the jerseys of the Nigeria national soccer team. “Naija” is printed on the heel of each sneaker and gives these sneakers a lot of country pride and style.
Nike Dunks have been all the rage this summer and now, going into the fall, we are getting a few Nike Dunk Highs. The “Michigan” Nike Dunk High is inspired by the Wolverines and everything their program represents. This sneaker is identical to the original from the 80’s, with the yellow and navy blue leather upper.
Jordan Brand released the Jordan Retro 13 “Lucky Green” which is similar to the highly coveted “Ray Allen” PE. This pair comes with an all-white upper with the “Lucky Green” side panels and accents.
Jordan Brand has always shown a lot of love to the ladies and this week, this is no different. The women’s Air Jordan Retro 6 “Tech Chrome” color scheme sports a nice grey and black suede upper, translucent overlays, and small hints of blue on the Jumpman logo and the outsole.
We can all use some Better Days as of late, so New Balance and Bodega gave us a little this weekend. The New Balance x Bodega 997S “Better Days” is the third iteration of the 997S and this colorway features a white mesh upper, tan leather and grey suede overlays. The color palette is meant to represent riding out in the sunset, as this is the final installment of the Boston’s boutique’s 997S series.
Everyone loves Legos until you step on one in the middle of the night, but this collaboration is definitely something you can step out in. This nostalgic design features the signature colors of the building blocks like red, green, yellow, and blue. A red Lego logo, heel tab made to looks like a plastic Lego piece, and Lego block accents completes this amazing collab.
A lot of heat this week and some tough decisions had to be made. What did you cop? Keep your ear to the streets and as always, rise, grind, and buy sneakers!
