Air Jordan 1 High Mocha – Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Alternative?

If you’ve been wanting to buy a pair of Travis Scott Air Jordan 1’s for a sensible price, now it’s probably the closest you will ever get. Nike is releasing a Mocha version of the Air Jordan 1 and it’s got people crazy for coffee.

I already have a pair handy thanks to an exclusive Early Access in the SNKRS app. Since I own both High and Low Travis Scott AJ1s, I’ll quickly compare the materials and overall look for you.

Let’s begin with the obvious: all three look like cousins, with Mochas being a bit further down the family tree. While in theory, all of them have the colorways on the label described as sail/black/dark mocha, the Mochas are of a visibly different shade. Their brown nubuck panels seem to be lighter and less saturated, while the sail bits are less of a cream color and have some kind of yellow tint (at least to me). Quality-wise, both the nubuck and leather on Mochas is stiffer, however, they are well-stitched and I see no quality issues with my pair at all.

The shoes come with an extra set of white laces if you’re not feeling the factory black ones and are boxed in a regular Air Jordan 1 packaging. Overall, the colorway is nice and versatile, so no wonder there’s so much hype around them.

The Mochas dropped on December 19th, so I’m wishing you best of luck and hoping that all people who want a pair, actually get them. Remember, stay true to your size or take 0.5 size bigger for a loose fit!
