Nneka Ogwumike July 2019 Player Of The Month

She is a great teammate, leader, sister, and more. She is the glue that keeps the Sparks together.

Let’s just say Nneka Ogwumike of the Los Angeles Sparks is having a great year and a great month. On Thursday, the WNBA announced the Player of the Month. Ladies and gentlemen, the “player of the month” is Nneka Ogwumike of the Sparks. In fact, she is averaging 16.7 points per game, 1.8 steals per game and 9.5 total rebounds per game. In last night’s win versus the Las Vegas Aces, she finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 steals.

She has been on a run, all throughout the month of July. The fact she is taking her team on her back is incredible. Taking one for the team and she is doing it with grace. Due to that reason, she well deserves the player of the month recognition. Nneka is beyond a player of the month.

Nneka Player Of The Month

She is a great teammate, leader, sister, and more. She is the glue that keeps the Sparks together. For example, yesterday’s game versus the Seattle Storm she finished with 13 points, 1 assist, and 10 rebounds. Not her usual explosive performance. However, you can always count on Nneka to contribute in points and hustle for the team.

What else can you ask from her? She is having a good time with the Sparks and that reflects on the team and her teammates. Her poise, energy, and basketball IQ are all amazing. Nneka doesn’t need to be the top scorer in a game to make an impact. In fact, her defense alone can make a team think twice before scoring on her or the team.

Nneka Powerful Role Model

Secondly, Nneka has been such a breath of fresh air, not only for the league but for the Sparks. The fans adore her and look up to her. A great role model for all the young girls out there. A role model for her sister, Chiney Ogwumike. That is to say, she is not perfect but a great all-around human being, making a difference on and off the court.

In conclusion, continue to admire and watch Nneka Ogwumike evolve further, to the amazing woman and athlete that she is.
