Weekly Roundup 9.14

Sports are in full swing! We had a day for the history books this week. We had all major sports on at one time on one day! Something that has never happened. Switching between NBA playoffs, seeding games in the Wubble, Serena matches at the US Open, we had a busy day. On top of that, it was another great week in the sneaker world. We got a look at the future of Jordan Brand, a few classics from Nike, and major signings with Puma.

Nike has come back strong with the Nike Dunk Low lately and this week, we got the Nike Dunk Low “Community Garden”. Selling out in seconds, these left all of us wanting more. These feature collage-like canvas upper covered in various patterns and colors. The placement of each pattern on each individual shoe is completely unique. Making each pair special in its’ own way. Also from Nike this week, we got the restock on the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air Force 1. We have seen these on the feet of players and celebs alike and if you got your hands on a pair, lucky you! Nike takes this classic model and gives it a little flare with the large lettering reading “Sunshine” wrapping around the sneaker. The Air Max 1 is one of the first models brought to us by the great Tinker Hatfield and this sneaker has always been something you want in the closet. This week, we got a chance to grab the Air Max 1 “Hyper Pink”. This colorful take gives us a 90’s twist on this classic silhouette. Inspired with a 90’s water sports theme, these are set to represent the suits worn while riding jet skis.

Jordan Brand and Nike and Oregon go hand in hand. Oregon women’s and men’s basketball teams have gotten PEs that we can only dream of. The “Pit Crew” Jordan Retro 3, The Jordan Retro 6 Oregon PE, and others have even sought after for years. This weekend, we got a chance to grab the Air Jordan Retro 5 “Green Apple” which is very very similar to the 2013 PE given to the Oregon Duck men’s basketball team. Some have renamed these the “Oregon” Vs because of this and whatever name you give them, these are a must! Dressed in an all-green suede upper with yellow detailing, this pair is only missing Oregon Duck derailing on the heel and tongue. The Air Jordan 1 Zoom “Crater” is the latest sneaker to be given sustainable treatment. This pair is special because it features a sole constructed of recycled Crater Foam. With an exposed foam collar, red stitching across the sneaker, and zoom cushioning, these are one of the most comfortable Jordan’s you can come across.

A light week on the release calendar but some great pickups nonetheless. We hope you grabbed what you were on the hunt for and as always – rise, grind and buy sneakers!
