Game Day | Atlanta Dream

Atlanta Dream Media Day

WNBA’s 25th Season is starting for the Atlanta Dream on May 14th. The Atlanta Dream will take on the Connecticut Sun 7:30 PM, right here in Atlanta at Gateway Center Arena.

Media Day is always fun because you get to see the players in more of a light and fun mood. We were able to catch Aari McDonald, Chennedy Carter and Courtney Williams – we wanted to know what they are looking forward to in the upcoming season.

For Aari McDonald, guard for the Atlanta Dream, with year one in the WNBA, I asked what are her personal goals for her first year playing in the league. She stated, “Shoot over 30% from the 3, having less than two turnovers a game and just creating havoc.”

Courtney Williams and her dope personality were all about having a fun time on Media Day. My question to her was as we are entering the 25th season of the WNBA, with the new uniforms, what sneakers will she be rocking on Game Day? Courtney stated that “I don’t really get into sneakers like that. I wear the same ones over and over. I’ve been wearing the Kyries and maybe I will wear some Kobes’.

Chennedy Carter, guard for the Atlanta Dream, heading into her second WNBA year, I asked her what were her goals for the upcoming season? Chennedy said, “I am looking forward to being more of a leader, Mo (Billings) has encouraged me to be more of a leader on the team.”

We are wishing the Atlanta Dream all the success for their upcoming season!

I have been collecting sneakers for years. For me, sneakers, Jordans (and I am branching out) are a peace of mind. I can look at sneakers all day long. I can research sneakers all day long. Sneakers are lifestyle, culture, and fun.
