Dallas Wings: There is a lot of Season to go

With the 25th season of the WNBA in full swing, a lot of teams are in great form early. Some are still figuring it out, and with Dallas missing Allisha Gray and Satou Sabally because of the 3-on-3 World Tournament, the team is coming into their own, slowly but surely.

The Wings have been fighting hard over the first two weeks of the season and, as of now, hold a 2-4 record after beating the Los Angeles Sparks 79-69. The team is averaging a solid 43% from the field and 37% from three but with averaging a little over 14 turnovers a game, that can turn into a bit of an uphill battle. Arike Ogunbowale is currently averaging 21.8 points per game and is doing what she does best; putting the ball in the hole. Mabery has been great in the starting lineup, replacing Gray, shooting 46.7% from three, and being that extra spark the Wings need to push them over the edge. Ty Harris and Isabelle Harrison have been great adding on a great contribution off the bench with Harris averaging 3.7 assists per game and Harrison grabbing close to 7 rebounds per. Number 1 pick Charlie Collier has started her rookie campaign averaging 5.2 points per game with 4 rebounds over the first six games. Adding Awak Kuier will be a huge boost for the Wings as she joins the team from her overseas commitment, so expect her to make an immediate impact on the team and the games going forward.

The next game scheduled for the Dallas Wings is against the defending champs, Seattle Storm. Currently sitting at 11th in the power rankings, expect more minutes and development around the top two draft picks and a hard push as players return and the season continues.
