When you think of 2020, it is a special year for quite a few reasons. One of them is Asics Gel Lyte III model celebrating its 30th anniversary. Another reason? The British store, END, celebrating its 15th. As a result of these two working together again, a Gel Lyte III ‘Pearl’ model was created.
Pearls are traditionally given as a 30th wedding anniversary gift, hence the name and inspiration behind the colorway. The sneakers are toned down, yet full of grace and are kept in Lavender Grey/Ivory/Pink. The upper is made of premium suede, while supple tumble leather was used for tongues. As always, you get 3 sets of laces and a special box. Fit wise, I tend to buy my usual size. However, going a 0.5 up couldn’t hurt either.
While I will sit these ones out, I am sure there are lots of Asics enthusiasts just waiting to grab a pair. These are quite limited and sold out on release day, so don’t hesitate for too long!
