New Balance 991 x Patta

Patta is a streetwear company founded in 2004 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. They have grown to become a brand with strong cultural presence worldwide, taking part in many interesting projects – their New Balance collaboration on a 991 model being the most recent one.

The timing of this release couldn’t be better, as New Balance has seen a significant increase of importance within the streetwear community in the past few years. To celebrate 991’s 20th anniversary, Patta took the shoes into their creative hands and came up with a pistachio and tan-colored design with a mix of leather, suede and mesh. You will also see a delicate white Patta branding on the tongues and ankles. The sole features Abzorb technology, which essentially is a blend of compressed foam and rubber that acts as a cushion for your feet. The shoes are made in Fimbley, UK, which makes the quality top notch.

This collaboration dropped in the second half of January and sold out right away. You can still grab a pair on StockX, Klekt or some other re-selling platforms, however, prepare yourself for quite an investment as the prices have gone up significantly.
