Sneaker Politics has always been known for its collaborations over the years, with different brands and their huge events! Most recently, they held a massive block party for the release of the Sneaker Politics x Retro Jordan 1 low and before that, they shut New Orleans down for the Jordan Retro 3 “Katrina” release. This release came with special lime green lace and a shoe tag with a lime green “X” on them symbolizing the “X” on doors during Hurricane Katrina. Also, Politics brought back the famous Mud Dogs apparel from the movie “Waterboy”, which included the Mud Dogs jersey and helmet.

Next up for the guys at Politics is a collab with the famous beignet and coffee shop, Café Du Monde! Café du Monde has been a New Orleans staple, since originally opening in 1862 in the New Orleans French Market. The Café is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and only closes on Christmas or when the occasional hurricane passes through. The Café is the most famous for its’ beignets and coffee, as people come far and wide to sit and have a few of each.

Politics held another HUGE event on June 22nd, and the event featured the special release of the Politics x Saucony x Café Du Monde Shadow 5000! The shoe is based on the famous beignets, that come with the tasty powdered sugar on top. The release also offered special edition clothing that includes shorts, tees, joggers, and so much more! As of now, the sneaker and clothing were only available at this special event, but stay tuned for more info on a more widespread release!
