WNBA Legend Lisa Leslie Named BIG3 Coach Of The Year

The Coach of the Year superlative is voted on by players and coaches, from around the league.

In her first year as Head Coach in the Big3, WNBA Champion, four-time Olympic Gold medalist and LA Sparks legend, Lisa Leslie, aimed to leave her mark this season, and she has done exactly that, after leading the Triplets to Saturday’s title game.

The Hall of Fame star is only the second woman ever to win the award, behind her colleague, Nancy Lieberman.

In her first season as Coach of the BIG3, Lieberman led her Power squad to the BIG3 Championship game, which came down to the wire and was truly an unforgettable finish.

Yet, there is still work to be done for Leslie and the Triplets this Saturday, as they will have a tough task of matching up against Killer 3’s, which is led by former NBA Champion, Stephen Jackson. Leslie will look to lean on former NBA star and current MVP, Joe Johnson, to lead the way.

Coach Leslie has led her Triplets squad to a 7-1 record so far in the BIG3, as they are looking to continue to push the culture forward in their quest for their first BIG3 Title.
