Kyrie Irving has had some of the craziest collaborations over the years, as he and Nike haven’t disappointed with the Kyrie 5. From the Concept x Kyrie 5 “Ihket” to the Rokit x Kyrie 5, the Kyrie 5 has been turning heads and at the top of the must-have list all year long. Now, we get a TV-themed Kyrie 5 collaboration with Nickelodeon’s “Spongebob Squarepants”, in celebrating the 20th anniversary of the iconic cartoon!
The Nike Kyrie x Spongebob Squarepants Collection features the Kyrie 5 and Kyrie Low 2 model, each representing different characters from the animated series. Spongebob, Patrick Star, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Sandy Cheeks are all featured on different models and come in all the eye-popping colors from the show. The Spongebob version comes in a bright yellow upper, with a brown and red sole, which represents his iconic Squarepants. The Patrick Star Kyrie 5 is as bright and pink as you can get, which represents Spongebob’s best friend and his bold personality. Squidward’s version is done in the seafoam green, and have all of the characters’ favorite expressions represented on the insole of the sneakers. Mr. Krabs and Sandy Cheeks get the Kyrie Low 2 treatment, and these are just as nice as the High, with Plankton tagging along as always, trying to get the Special Formula.
Catch these at select Nike retailers and on SNKRS on August 10th! The price for the Kyrie 5 will be $130, and the Kyrie Low 2 models will be $110. This collab is INSANE as a definite must-have for any Nike basketball head, and Spongebob fan!
