Weekly Roundup 10.4

New month, new goals, new achievements, and new sneakers to cop. October is a month of scary movies, Michael Meyer masks, and sneaker brands that didn’t half step with kicking the fourth quarter of the year with a nice push for spooky season.

Who doesn’t like Gru and the Minions? Reebok and Illumination have teamed up with a crazy collab to promote the newest installment in the Despicable Me movies. This collection includes a Question Mid, Instapump Fury’s, and Club Cs all pulling inspiration from the lovable yellow Minions and the various characters and villains from the film franchise. Keeping with the collabs and some of our childhood memories, Adidas also executed a huge collab with Toy Story and released a number of crazy sneakers, all bringing a part of the Toy Story franchise to them. From a Dame 7 with the iconic “Andy” on the bottom, to an all pink Superstar representing the coin bank we all know as Porky, the options are in tow.

Nike and Off White have been making hit after hit and this release is no different. The Nike x Off White Rubber Dunk “Green Strike” is the next in the Off White x Nike line and these did not sit long at all. The new take on the Nike Dunk Low drastically changes the upper, with plenty of rubber overlays. The models come in all black upper with the “Green Strike” detailing and the orange zip tie. Nike is also celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 90, with a release of the Air Max 90 in two OG colorways, “Laser Blue” and “Eggplant”. Referred to as the Air Max III for this release, these are a must for any Air Max head and lover of the Air Max line and history. The original name is a way of giving a nod to the original release back in 1990, as it makes reminds a few of us that we’re getting old.

Russell Westbrook has always been that player to push the boundaries when it comes to fashion, as well as his game. His tunnel fits have been the highlight of the pregame, year after year, and always leave us waiting for the next game and outfit. Jordan brand and Russ got together and brought out the Jordan x Converse “Why Not” Pack. This pack features a black Air Jordan XVI and a white Converse Chunk 70. Each has a silver “RW” logo hardware, milk white soles, and crazy chain embroidery said to represent the rockstar lifestyle Russ exemplifies. During the NBA playoffs, Russ was seen wearing both pairs during pregame and postgame interviews and the anticipation started soon thereafter. Selling out in minutes, what rockstar fits do you guys have in mind for this crazy package?

Adidas is giving us the perfect Yeezy for Halloween with the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Carbon”. Even though Kanye threatened to only wear Jordans, it doesn’t look like Adidas really minds. Especially with Yeezy brand being the top earning brand for the sneaker giant. This Yeezy 350 V2 comes to us with a “Carbon” primeknit upper and a milky insole, making these a perfect complement to that all-black fit you plan on stepping out in for the holiday.

A week of some crazy collabs and big releases. With the holiday season officially kicking off, what is highlighted on your release calendar? Good Hunting and as always, rise, grind and buy sneakers!
