Weekly Roundup 11.15

A week full of shock drops, restocks, and a good deal of L’s, but a good week nonetheless. November is coming to a quick end with Thanksgiving being just a week out, and the releases are getting bigger and bigger. Yesterday, a shock drop of the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey” hit the SNKRS app and dished out a lot of “Got Em” screens but other releases this week left a lot of us wanting more and buying to resell. The gifs and memes keep us all entertained after a big release but, sometimes, we want to post a “Got Em” too.

After a few setbacks and reschedules, the Nike SB Dunk High “Gundam” finally hit stateside and the SNKRS app. One of my favorite anime series and an anime classic, the “Gundam” High has been on everyone’s radar since pictures first leaked back in June. Layered in a white and red upper, this shoe is said to represent the Gundam Unicorn, one of the most powerful Gundams in the series. The lateral Swoosh can be removed for customization and brings a different vibe to this insane sneaker.

The holiday season is Jordan Brand’s time to shine and they are starting off this season with a bang! The continued collaboration between Jordan Brand and Nike and Off White has had the sneaker world in a chokehold. The Jordan 2 is one of my favorite models. Designed in Italy with no Swoosh or Nike branding, this sneaker is rumored to have almost ruined Jordan’s and Nike’s relationship. The Jordan 2 is treated as the stepchild of the Jordan models. You either love it or hate it, but this Off White collab may have brought a new look to this forgotten piece of Jordan history. The Off White x Jordan 2 came in two different colorways and each sold out in seconds. Bringing new life to the lost model and we are even seeing spikes in Retro 2 resell over the past few weeks.

Concepts added another banger to its crazy catalog last week with another collab with New Balance. The “Low Hanging Fruit” 992 hit retailers and sent NB fans into a frenzy. The premium tan suede upper, with neon green hits on the logo, midsole, and tongue. The collab is inspired by Frieda Rapport, a Los Angeles-based fruit seller who is said to have introduced the kiwi to the American market in the 90’s.

Other notable releases this week were the Yeezy NSLTD BT “Khaki”, Yeezy Knit RNR BT “Sulfur”, Air Jordan 13 Low “Singles Day”, and Air Jordan 12 “Royalty”. With the holidays coming around the corner, the releases and drops will continue to get better. The Dunk Restock hit SNKRS last week, so look for more of these types of restocks and shock drops as we get closer. Keep your ear to the streets and continue the good hunt. As I say every morning, rise, grind and buy sneakers, and have a great week!
