Weekly Roundup 11.3

Welcome to November! The holiday countdown starts now. Time for beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes, yams, and all the fixings. Time to cherish friends and family and let us know what you are most thankful for. In the spirit of family, we want to take a second to send prayers to the families of the recent AstroWorld incidents. Exclusive access went out for quite a few sneakers this week, including the highly anticipated Off-White x Jordan 2. It seems that not many of us gained this access, but access was given for the Jordan 12 “Royalty”, so I guess this was the substitute.

The Dunk craze has not slowed down at all, even with a lot of people thinking it would die off soon. No matter the Nike Dunk colorway, the shoe will sell out. This week, the Women’s Nike Dunk High “Next Nature” hit retailers and did not sit long. The design of this sneaker is inspired by the great outdoors and the patchwork feature various colors of nylon across the upper. A cozy white fleece liner represents equipment used on a camping trip. The second pair to hit SNKRS this week is a nod to the Georgetown Hoyas. The Nike Dunk Low “Championship Grey” hit and sold out instantly. This pair is dressed in a grey leather upper with navy overlays and is perfect for the Fall.
Jordan Brand gave us a brand new colorway in one of my favorite models, the Air Jordan 14. This colorway, in the Jordan 14 low version, is a head turner and a must to add for the ladies. The Women’s Air Jordan 14 Low “Shocking Pink” comes in an all bubblegum pink upper in a hairy suede material. The dark grey tongue and fluorescent pink midsole give some contrast to this bright piece of work.

After a few delays, Nike is finally giving releasing the Air Trainer 3 collaboration with the New York Giants running back, Saquon Barkley. A cream upper that is accented with bright infrared hints of yellow, blue, and green. These colors are a nod to New York’s construction zones around the city. Other details are the Swoosh that represents the eye black worn in games, the number “26” on each tongue tag, and his lighting bolt logo on each heel and insole. Another collaboration that hit this week was the Comme de Garçon x Nike Air Foamposite One. Seen on feet multiple times over the last few weeks, and these were one of those sneakers that if you can get your hands on them, these are a must. President Biden, Wale, Kid Cudi, and others have been seen wearing these and they do not disappoint. Tonal Black and White versions were both up for grabs and both replaced the iconic Foamposite shell with a redesigned spiral pattern unique to this collab. This pair retailed at $520, which is a high price point, but if we consider the collaboration and the normal Foamposite pricing, this isn’t a major jump from the normal $250-$300 we see on a normal general release.

Other notable releases this week were the Nike Women’s Nike Air Huarache “Koromogae”, Adidas Trae Young 1 “So So Def”, and the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “Noise Aqua”. This week is a week that is getting us ready for the holidays. The release calendar will continue to fill up so choose wisely, week to week. As always, continue the good hunt and remember rise, grind and buy sneakers.
