Another week down and another one of some wins and losses. The LA Sparks celebrated the start of college football season in a big way with HBCU night and the ladies did not disappoint. Showing off threads from Southern University, FAMU, NC State, and many others, the ladies brought in the season in style. Another light week in the sneaker world, but we did get an official announcement on the Nike SB Dunk High x Gundam. Dropping later this month, the Gundam SB is going to be one of the biggest cops of this year. On top of that news, Jordan Brand released the Holiday calendar. With new colorways in the Jordan 12, Jordan 14, and Jordan 3, this holiday is surely going to be a great one.

New Balance and their collaborations have been the talk of the year! So many different variations and colorways have hit the scene and none of them sit long at all. This week, some had the pleasure of adding the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 990v3 “Outside Clothes”. This is the second collab from Joe Freshgoods and these are inspired by the summers playing outside, enjoying the dirt courts and green football fields. The upper is covered in brown, blue, and green, and details such as “Outside Clothes”’ stitched across the heel and “JFG”’ replacing the normal “990”.

The Air Force 1 is timeless and all sneakerheads know you keep a fresh white pair in the closet. This week, the Air Force 1 “Animal Pack” hit retailers bringing us two new colorways. The first colorway represents a Crane coming in a white upper, black tongue, and grey Nubuck swoosh. The second is based on the turtle. This sneaker comes in an olive green leather upper with a brown swoosh. Both have the animal represented stitched on the lateral heel to match the overall theme of both shoes. Nike also continues to retro the Nike Huarache and this week, the Nike Huarache “Toadstool” was the next on the list. The color scheme gives off an earthy tone with a light brown leather toe and black neoprene bootie.

After a little longer wait than expected, the Social Status x Nike “Free Lunch” Dunk “Chocolate Milk” hit the scene and this sneaker was a must cop. This colorway is inspired by the chocolate milk that was included in the school lunch. A brown nubuck upper, velvet detailing, and a milky swoosh make up the details of this sneaker. The most important nod is that the unique shape of the sneaker was made exclusively for this project.

Other notable releases this week were the Levi’s x New Balance 990v3, the Sacai x Fragment x Nike LDWaffle “Light Smoke Grey”, and Adidas Yeezy QNTM “Onyx”. Another calm week in the sneaker world, but as always, there are a few gems to be had. Remember to continue the good hunt and as always, rise, grind and buy sneakers.
