Life Overseas: Catching up with Kahleah Copper

I try to be responsible but I really had to get the Dior sneakers. I might get a little something else before I go home though.

Living in Europe, makes it a bit of a challenge to attend WNBA games during the season, but it definitely gives you an opportunity to see some of the players during overseas season, which is great.

With that being said, it recently turns out that my home town basketball team PolskaStrefaInwestycji Enea Gorzów signed Kahleah Copper of Chicago Sky this season. Recently we had a chance to sit down and discuss sneakers, life overseas and more. If you want to know which #WNBAKicks she like to hoop in and which one’s she likes to relax in check out the full interview below:

Q: First of all, talking about your Red Hook Labs photo session, how did it feel? Did you enjoy it? Have you done any modeling before?

Kahleah Copper: I actually have never done any modeling before. It’s funny because I love to take pictures, I like to dress up so it was cool when I got picked to do it. Going there and meeting the photographer, letting them actually give a vision for me and taking the photos and they’re turning out perfect… it was just amazing.

Q: The photos really turned out great, congratulations on this project.
Can you tell me how is your experience in Poland so far? Is there anything difficult for you?

Copper: It’s a culture shock for sure but I’ve played in Europe for a couple of years now, so I know how it is and what I’m here for, so it’s not too bad.

Q: Which kicks are your favorite to play in?

Copper: I have the OG Kobes and I actually like PGs also. But Kobes are just so comfortable and I especially like the 8s. Anything Kobe low top is super comfortable. Those are my favorites and it’s like playing with nothing on your feet.

Q: Coming back to the PGs, I’ve heard you received a customized pair from your teammates for your birthday. Was it a big surprise? How did you like them?

Copper: It was such a surprise! They had me tearing up. It was so thoughtful. It was so many different things on the shoes. They really put some thought into this – it was just perfect. I did not expect it AT ALL. It was the best present.

Q: Have you picked up any new sneakers recently?

Copper: I’ve just bought some Dior sneakers and CDG Play Converse Chucks. I’m not too crazy. I try to be responsible, but I really had to get the Dior sneakers. I might get a little something else before I go home though.

KC will play in Poland for the rest of the season to come back to WNBA fixtures in 2020. So far, she’s been achieving great results abroad and we wish her good luck in keeping that up!

Stay tuned as there will be more content coming and let us know if there is any question you’d like to ask Kahleah.
