Year of the Jordan 2

2022 has been the return of the Jordan 2! Jordan-heads have always been split when it comes to the Jordan 2. Some love them and others don’t, but the backstory of the Jordan 2 is undeniable. Being the only Jordan with no Jordan branding, and rumored to almost bring the end of Jordan’s relationship with Nike, the Jordan 2 has nothing but a rich history behind it.

A Ma Maniere has announced its third collaboration with Jordan Brand and bringing us a stylish Jordan 2 to add to all the craze. The Sail and Burgundy Jordan 2 comes with black detailing, sail suede, and a quilted sock liner. Co-branding is seen on the tongue in early leaked pictures and, as in all the A Ma Maniere collabs, premium materials are used throughout. The storytelling and promotional videos have been nothing short of amazing when it comes to these sneakers. Tying in the black community and Women in all of these collaborations, are a must for the ladies. The A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 2 “Airness” will hit A-Ma-Maniere.com on May 13th for a price of $225.

Nina Chanel Abney has also teamed up with Jordan Brand to bring us two more Air Jordan 2. These seem to follow the deconstructed models, coming in a white leather base with snakeskin leather around the ankle area. The smooth-side panels give that deconstructed feel. We have seen two different models, a low top with a nice green and grey look and a high-top OG model in the classic black, white, and red. Both are seen with a hangtag featuring Abney’s work and her name printed on the insoles. No release date has been given yet, but rumors have been floating around that these will hit retailers in July.
Stay tuned for any updates on release information and more on the dark horse of the Jordan family, the Jordan 2. The craze has been crazy and with other Retro 2s hitting the streets, the craze isn’t going anywhere.
