Equality California and All-WNBA Point Guard Chelsea Gray are teaming up to host a special election-edition Power Hour titled A Vote for Social Justice Reform on Oct. 23 at Noon PT, streaming live on the Facebook pages of Equality California, the LA Sparks and Rock The Vote.
Gray will moderate an in-depth discussion featuring two-time MVP and teammate Candace Parker, Rock The Vote President and Executive Director Carolyn DeWitt, and Equality California Managing Director Tony Hoang. The four panelists will discuss voter suppression, the census, mail-in ballots and why the stakes have never been higher for voting as a form of activism. Gray and Parker will also detail the Sparks and the WNBA’s social justice campaigns seen throughout the 2020 WNBA season at IMG Academy.
Gray recently announced a partnership with Equality California and Rock The Vote called Assist For Equality where her and the Sparks donated $100 per assist throughout the 2020 season to Equality California and Rock The Vote, totaling $11,600.
