Holiday Round-Up 11.30

The week before Thanksgiving and brands were holding no punches! Each one brought out some major heat this week and got us hype for the upcoming weeks ahead. The releases had sneakerheads and resellers ready to empty their pockets and figuring out how they can cop all the jewels this week, amidst craziness for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Nike and the Dunk Low have been a 2020 staple. This week, we got the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Dunk Low. First seen on feet of Lebron James during the NBA bubble, these come in an all white colorway covered in Swarovski crystals. Continuing with the Dunk Low, the “Ceramic” Nike Dunk Low also hit select retailers and SNKRS this weekend, as Nike brought back another Japanese exclusive from 2001. These come in a nice black, green suede, and orange, and were perfect to pull out and turn heads at the Thanksgiving table. Keeping with the classics, Nike is also bringing the Air Max 1 “Magma Orange” stateside. This OG is identical with the grey overlays, white mesh, and and white midsole. The orange detailing is used on the tongue tag, heel logo, swoosh, and mudguard. These orange details makes the shoe pop and for AM1 heads, these are essential to go with the other OG colorways.

With the drop of the PS5, we have all been excited to get the new game and play all the next-generation games. From 2K21 to SpiderMan “Miles Morales” — gamers are ready to dive into the gaming world and log hours on hours on the new gaming console. This week, Adidas team up with the PS5 and brought out a special colorway on the Adidas Superstar. This black and red pair resembles the Pro Model worn by Morales in the game. Pharrell and Adidas are also coming in with another colorway in the Pharrell x Adidas NMD Hu “Core Black”. This pair has an all black upper with white paces, acting as a bit of contrast.

Reebok brings in a collab this week with the Hot Ones x Reebok joining forces with First We Feast’s Hot Ones for a three shoe pack. This pack includes a Club C, Classic Leather, and Shanosis and all have been dressed in their own unique colorways to represent “Mild”, “Meduim”, and “Hot”. A nod to the increasingly spicy chicken wings eaten on the popular interview show.

This week was also an appetizer for the weeks to come and there is nothing like a good start to get your appetite going. Other releases from this week are the Nike Air Presto “Solar”, the Jordan 35 “Bayou Boyz”, the Women’s Air Jordan 1 “Homecoming” and the Women’s Dunk Low Disrupt. The releases are getting bigger and bigger, as we approach closer to the end of 2020, so stay tuned because the decisions on what to cop will get harder and harder. As always, Good Hunting and when all else fails, buy the sneaker.
