Nike Announces “Mamba Week” Starting August 23

Kobe Bryant’s untimely death really hit the sports world hard, and many are still reeling to recover. Kobe inspired players, advocates, and fans, with his work ethic in all that he did, with his “Mamba Mentality”.

Mr. Bryant took on NBA greats, took home an Oscar, and became a New York Times Bestseller. Not too many can walk in those lanes, yet Kobe always did it with the utmost integrity and a smile.

During Mamba Week, Nike will honor Kobe’s legacy and the Mamba Mentality, in a way that exudes the highest praise to the man and the athlete. By giving $1 million dollars to the Mamba and Mambacita foundations, continuing Kobe’s message through the Mamba league, and giving us fans, a chance to be a part of this great legacy, through different Kobe products.

We have already seen quite a few Protros in both leagues, from players like Jewell Lloyd and Devin Booker. During this time, we will get a chance to get our hands on the Kobe Protro 5 “Big Stage Parade”, “Laker”, and the “EYBL” colorways, all releasing during this momentous week. The City of Orange County has even announced that August 24th is officially, “Mamba Day”.

The passion, the drive, and the killer instinct are all things that Kobe applied to every endeavor. During this week, apply the “Mamba Mentality” to a goal that you have been working towards and achieve greatness!
