Weekly Roundup 9.19

Welcome to Autumn! Orange leaves, pumpkin spice, layers on layers, and the flyest pair to wear. This week gave us some of the top releases of the Fall season. This is where we get to bring out the fall coats, flannels, and your favorite hoodie to show off your best-layered style. We got a chance to grab sneakers in all different colors and designs, so this is the best time to get your closet ready for the shift.

Collaborations have been everything over the last few months and one that we were all waiting on is the Sacai x Clot x Nike LDWaffle. The dual-layered mesh makeup comes in a color scheme similar to the Clot Air Max 1 released in 2006. The tan upper, black and red overlays, and snakeskin swoosh complete this fall favorite, that also comes with co-branding all around the sneaker. Nike also continued the Huarache retro with another colorway from the early ’90s. The Nike Air Huarache “Aquatone” features a white mesh and leather upper, a teal and purple neoprene bootie and we can’t forget the rubber Huarache logo stamped on the tongue.

As stated before, collabs are the way of the world currently and the LDWaffle is the model that has gotten a lot of love lately. The Sacai x Fragment x Nike LDWaffle hit retailers Wednesday and this one was hard to get our hands on. This pair comes in a light grey mesh and smooth suede, with the same details as the first pair – a fragment lightning bolt on each tongue and the heel tabs sporting the Sacai logo complete this highly anticipated sneaker. The Dunk craze has yet to slow down and this week, the Dunk Low “Championship Red”, hit stores. The simple red and white leather upper is very reminiscent of the collegiate-inspired OG’s from the ’80s. As a fan of Phi Slamma Jamma and the crazy UNLV team of the ’90s, this shoe is a must for any hoop fan.

Jordan Brand also gave us a little new and a little OG this week. The Women’s Air Jordan 14 Low “Iconic Red” hit shelves Thursday morning and did not sit long. This colorway is dressed in a black nubuck upper with red accents and underlays. The Air Jordan 11 Low IE “Bred” received the retro treatment this past weekend and looks identical to the original. Black tumbled upper, black suede overlays, red liner, and the red Jumpman stitched in the tongue, as this was a must cop for true Jordan heads. The Jordan 13 “Obsidian” also hit retailers this weekend and comes in a color scheme that is very close to the Charlotte Hornets home jerseys. With a white upper, obsidian mudguard, and dark blue hits on the tongue and midsole, this shoe stays true to the clean look of the Jordan 13 line.

Other notable releases this week were the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN “Honey Flux” and the Size x Nike Air Huarache. This was the perfect week to start your fall switch in your closet. Keep your ear to the streets and as always, rise, grind and buy sneakers.
