The holidays are among us! Time for turkeys, potatoes, tomatoes, yams, ham (did you catch it) , family, friends, and great times. Some travel for the holidays, while others take the time to recharge, chill out at home, and take in all this time of year has to offer. For sneaker lovers, this time of year is where the year is made! This time of year brings out the best from just about every brand and leave most anxious for release dates, shock drops, and surprises that make it all worth while.
The Jordan Retro 11 is always a staple of the holiday season. Each year, we anticipate what Jordan 11 we will be able to snag in December and this year, nothing has changed. The Jordan Retro 11 “Jubilee” is the next to be release for Christmas this year from Jordan Brand, in a long standing tradition of the iconic model coming to us this time of year. The all-black colorway comes in a clean, slick fashion keeping with the Retro 11 nostalgia. Jordan Brand is also bringing back a few classics back with the Fire Red OG Retro IV, Women’s Air Jordan Retro 6 “Singles Day” for Thanksgiving and the Jordan Retro 1 goes black and gold for Cyber Monday.
Nike is bringing back some hard hitters this holiday season with the Kobe 5 “Bruce Lee” and the “Bruce Lee” alternate. Both coming to us the week of November 24th. Originally released in 2010, the “Bruce Lee” Kobe 5 has been one of the most sought after colorways in the Kobe signature line. This sneaker has gone for prices on reseller apps like StockX and GOAT for as high as almost $2000, so Kobe lovers are ready to get their hands on this shoe at retail price. Even more exciting is that the white alternate, which was firstly rumored to be a friends and family pair, is also going to be available. Both have been seen on court by multiple WNBA and NBA stars and have been one of the highly anticipated releases of the year.
Adidas is also making the Thanksgiving week special with releases of the Yeezy Boost 380 “Onyx”, the Yeezy 500 “Utility Black”, and the Pharrell x Adidas NMD Hu dressed in all white. Reebok isn’t far behind with the Reebok Alternate Package include the “Yellow Toe” Rebook Question Mid paying homage to the late Kobe Bryant as a sneaker free agent before signing with Nike. The all-white upper and suede yellow toe makes this sneaker ideal for any Laker fan and is one Kobe fan wouldn’t want to miss.
This week starts a very heavy holiday schedule for all sneaker brands. Tough decisions will have to be made and these drops don’t include shock drops and other special releases that can and will happen. Stay tuned for updates and upcoming releases and as always, rise, grind, and buy sneakers!
