Liz Cambage and Her Love of Dance Music

It seems evident that Cambage is enjoying her time in her new city…

Las Vegas is considered one of, if not, thee capital of dance music, in the entire world. With top DJs playing at the premier dance clubs on any given night, Vegas is a hotbed for the dance music world. Even one of the top dance music festivals in the world, EDC, is held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway every year.

Any normal person would think dance music and basketball have nothing in common. Yet, you would be wrong because they do, and the similarity between the two is Liz Cambage.

Cambage, the runner-up for MVP last year, was traded to the Las Vegas Aces on May 16th, after months of rumors and speculation. Las Vegas is the perfect match for the Aussie, considering she is actually a DJ as well. Yes, you read the last statement correctly. A WNBA star is a full-fledged DJ!

Cambage has played at multiple festivals and venues in her native country of Australia. She was even the opening act for the Melbourne stop during Mary J. Blige’s tour, back in 2017. Most recently, she has jumped back on the decks at the Ability Fest, supporting the Dylan Alcott Foundation, as well as an Adidas party at Coachella back in April of this year.

As a recent signee with Adidas, I am sure we will see Cambage rocking the Adidas kicks, whether it be with a basketball in her hand, or spinning some music on a pair of DJ decks.

In an interview with ExecutiveStyle.com, Cambage said, “I love doing DJ work and it’s a nice escape from my sporting life. I grew up listening to ‘90s house anthems with mum so it was inevitable that I’d find interest in music. It’s something I do when it’s off-season with the team.”

Anyone following Cambage on social media can see her love of dance music. She posts music she is currently listening to, as well as various videos of her dancing to her favorite electronic songs on her Instagram stories.

She didn’t miss a beat when arriving in the dance mecca city of Las Vegas. During her first night in the city, Cambage went to EDC, to watch some friends DJing. It seems evident that Cambage is enjoying her time in her new city, and I am hoping she uses her DJ skills in the desert or for the league *cough* the WNBA All-Star game *cough* very, very soon.
